Frequently asked questions
Everything customers ask us before and after buying — payments, delivery to a cfx.re account, licences, Discord bot plans, refunds and personal data. Every answer starts with the answer.
Buying and payments
- Who is the seller and who is my contract with?
- Your contract of sale is with Tebex Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 08129184, acting as the Merchant of Record. Tebex takes the payment, issues the sales document, settles VAT and handles refunds and chargebacks. ScriptLab — Daniel Sornek — is the creator and licensor of the products: we build them, deliver them and support them.
- Which payment methods can I use?
- Payment methods come from the Tebex checkout, which shows the full list available in your country — usually cards, PayPal and common local methods. ScriptLab never sees or stores card numbers; the entire payment happens on Tebex's side.
- Why does the catalogue price differ from the checkout total?
- The catalogue shows a gross price: it includes the fees and taxes Tebex charges and is rounded up to a whole euro. The amount at checkout is never higher than the catalogue price and is usually a few cents lower. The final total, the settlement currency and the VAT due are shown by the Tebex checkout before you confirm the order.
- Which currency am I buying in?
- You can switch catalogue prices to your preferred currency and we remember the choice in your browser. The settlement currency is decided by the Tebex checkout from your country and payment method — that one is binding.
- Will I get an invoice?
- The sales document is issued by Tebex, because Tebex is the formal seller. You will find it in the purchase confirmation e-mail; for invoices, billing details and corrections, contact Tebex at https://www.tebex.io/contact/checkout.
- Why do I have to provide a cfx.re account to buy a script?
- Because without one there is nowhere to deliver the product. FiveM scripts are granted to your cfx.re account under "Granted Assets", and that account is the only delivery address the FiveM platform provides. Signing in with cfx.re passes us only your forum user id and username.
Delivery, licences and updates
- How quickly do I get the product after buying?
- Delivery follows Tebex's payment confirmation, usually within a few minutes. FiveM scripts appear on your cfx.re account under "Granted Assets", licence keys in your account panel under "Purchases", and a Discord bot plan activates on the server you named. If nothing has arrived after fifteen minutes, write to us through the support panel — do not buy a second time.
- Am I buying the script or a licence to it?
- A licence, not ownership. It is non-exclusive, non-transferable and perpetual (for bot plans — for the paid period) and covers using the product on your own game or Discord servers. The words "buy" and "sale" in our documents refer to granting that licence.
- On how many servers may I use a script I bought?
- On your own servers — the licence covers using the product in your community. You may not resell, rent out or redistribute the product, publish its code or remove the licence check. You are free to modify it for your own use, as long as the modified version never leaves your servers.
- What happens if your licence server goes down?
- Nothing for the first 72 hours. Some products verify their licence against our service, but an outage on our side must not switch off your server — a running product stops no earlier than 72 hours after the last successful check. The check sends the licence key and a server identifier; the privacy policy describes it.
- Do updates cost extra?
- No. Updates to a script you bought arrive on the same cfx.re account the product was granted to — you do not buy it again. Product changes are described on the blog under "Changelog".
- Where do I find my licence keys?
- In your account panel, under "Purchases". A key appears there once Tebex confirms the payment and stays tied to your shop account.
DiscordBot Manager — plans and features
- What is DiscordBot Manager?
- A bot for your Discord server, configured through a panel on script-lab.shop rather than through chat commands. It covers welcome messages, server logs, tickets, giveaways, server-structure backups, moderation and music, among other things — the scope depends on the plan. It is billed monthly.
- What does the Free plan include?
- The Free plan covers one Discord server and gives you basic commands, welcome messages, server logs, basic tickets (30 per billing period), a server statistics dashboard, a message purge command, one giveaway at a time, and control over who may run which command. That last one is free on purpose: deciding that only staff may wipe a channel is what protects a server from its own members, and charging for it would make the cheap plan the dangerous one.
- What does the Whitelabel plan add?
- Whitelabel makes the bot yours: you supply the token of your own Discord application, so your community sees a bot with your name and avatar instead of ours. It also adds custom command names, custom bot wording, a language choice, an embed builder, unlimited tickets and giveaways, server-structure backups and tools for restoring roles to returning members. The plan covers two servers.
- What does the Pro plan add?
- Pro adds what keeps a large server running: advanced tickets with transcripts, response-time statistics and a direct-message bridge, a music library with audio conversion, ban management and ban synchronisation, message history backups, anti-nuke protection and advanced anti-spam. The plan covers two servers; larger server counts and more music storage are separate plan variants.
- On how many Discord servers can I run the bot?
- Free covers one server, Whitelabel and Pro cover two, and more can be bought as a plan variant. The panel states where you stand ("X of Y connected") right next to the invite button, including a notice when the limit is used up.
- How do I connect a Discord server to the panel?
- Three steps: invite the bot with the button in the panel, run /panel-link on that server (only visible to people with the "Manage Server" permission), and paste the code the bot sends you privately back into the panel. The code is single-use and valid for 15 minutes.
- Which permissions does the bot need on my server?
- Always: view channel, send messages, embed links, read message history and manage roles. Depending on the features you switch on, it also asks for managing channels, messages, nicknames and webhooks, viewing the audit log, timing out, kicking and banning. The panel's "Permissions" tab lists every one of them together with what stops working without it. The bot's role has to sit above the roles it is meant to manage.
- Can the bot carry my community's name and avatar?
- Yes, from the Whitelabel plan. You provide the token of your own Discord application; we store it encrypted and check on save that it carries every permission it needs. Your members then only ever see your bot.
- Does the bot connect to a FiveM server?
- Yes, through the separate FiveM plan track. The basic scope is server status commands and an automatic status embed; higher plans add duty accounting, a player portal, whitelist applications, player record search, a ban appeal centre, a server health monitor, player statistics, ban-evasion detection and a restart manager.
Refunds, complaints and your account
- Can I withdraw from the contract within 14 days?
- Not once delivery has begun. Under Polish consumer law (art. 38 (13) of the Consumer Rights Act), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content whose delivery started with your express prior consent — the Tebex checkout collects that consent before payment. Until the product has been delivered you have 14 days from concluding the contract; a clear statement by e-mail is enough.
- Who refunds the money, and what happens to the licence?
- Tebex issues the refund through the original payment method, no later than 14 days after receiving your statement. After a refund or a chargeback, the licence keys from that purchase stop being valid and access to the product ends.
- The product does not work as described — what now?
- Report it through the support panel: describe the problem, your server version and what you have already tried. We handle reports within 14 days. If the fault lies with an external service — the FiveM platform, Discord or your hosting provider — we will point you to the right place, but write to us first.
- Do I need an account to buy, and how old must I be?
- Yes, buying and using the panel require an account. You may buy if you are 16 or older; without full legal capacity, a purchase needs your guardian's consent.
- How do I delete my account, and what happens to my data?
- You delete the account yourself in the account panel. Your data is then pseudonymised and removed on a schedule: marketing data after 30 days, data needed to defend against claims after 3 years, accounting records after 6 years, final deletion after 10 years. The exact dates are shown when you confirm the deletion. Deleting the account does not invalidate licences already issued.
- How do I download a copy of my data?
- In the account panel, under "My data" — no need to write to us. The same place lets you delete the account, and every newsletter e-mail carries an unsubscribe link in its footer.
Security and privacy
- Is my account protected by two-factor authentication?
- Yes, and it cannot be side-stepped: the second factor applies on every door into the panel. One rule in the sign-in code holds it, so any newly added sign-in method is asked for a code by default.
- Does opening a product page connect me to Google?
- Not by opening it. Video guides are embedded from YouTube in no-cookie mode and only load after you press play — the connection to Google's servers is made at the moment you start it yourself.
- Who controls the data of my Discord server's members?
- You do, as the server owner. For that data we are a processor under art. 28 GDPR: we process only what the features you enabled require, only on your server, and only for as long as needed. We do not store players' IP addresses — only a salted hash from which the address cannot be recovered.
Support and contact
- How do I get in touch?
- For products, licences and technical help — through the ticket form in your account panel under "Support", or by e-mail at [email protected]. Payments, invoices and refunds are handled by Tebex: https://www.tebex.io/contact/checkout.
- Which languages does support speak?
- Polish and English. The whole shop, the panel and the legal documents exist in both languages, and you switch language in the page header.
- How quickly do you answer tickets?
- We handle reports within 14 days, though technical questions usually get an answer far sooner. Replies land in the ticket's own thread in the panel, so the whole history of a case stays in one place.
